What's YOUR genre?
What genre do you write the most of? Why?

I like mixing adventure, fantasy, romance and whatever feels right. I guess I'd be a fantasy writer but I don't feel that most of my stories are purely fantasy. They just have fantastical elements. Ha.

I think I'm the same as Kaleidascope. I write in fantasy worlds, but they tend to have adventure and romance as big parts of them.

I generally write Adventure Fantasies, and Sci-Fi. For the promptathon, I'm writing Sci-Fi. And it's going to be awesome.

I do both fantasy and sci-fi, and I like to put horror into both of them. And a bit of romance. Sometimes. So I guess it's just about everything.

Other: You don't have historical fiction listed... :( heh. I never know how to fit myself into a genre. True, a lot of things I write are set in the past, but not all of them are set with history in them (my NaNoWriMo has oodles of history in it). I've always been confused if I can still call myself an historical fiction writer simply because I do not write in the present era, but rather, usually in the 19th century. I had one story in the '20s during the prohibition, and now my NaNo is in WWII. So... *shrugs* Historical fiction!

Uhmmm suspense, modern day, and horror I guess are my areas. I like fantasy but I haven't written anything serious in the fantasy area.

I've always been sci-fi/fantasy. I don't think I've ever really leaned toward one over the other, though I have had periods like that. I'm trying to get into writing urban fantasy, but I'm not cool enough yet.

Fantasy
I've always written fantasy. It's gotten to the point where if I say I'm writing a non-fantasy novel, my sister fakes fainting.

Romance tends to be my choice, with some modern fantasy thrown in for good measure. So far it looks like I'm alone for the straight romance though. I solemnly promise that there will not be a Fabio in sight! ~ K.
