You could write down your favorite pages and tape it on the inside cover? That way, you don't ruin the books and you won't lose your place!

AWritersFantasy- 08-21-2007

True, but most of them are all ready ruined because of folding the pages down. I started reading Star Wars books back in 5th grade so that was like...maybe ten years ago.

Shadow729- 08-21-2007

Well, I've bought all of MY books from a used book store, mostly because they have more personality, but also because most of them are out of print. Besides, it's never too late to do that. And then, when you have kids and you want to educate them in the ways of the force, you can whip them out and tell them that when you were their age, you read the books. So, which is your favorite, sith, jedi, blah blah blah?

AWritersFantasy- 08-22-2007

Jedi all the way! :D

ennui- 08-22-2007

I really should get on it and watch the movies someday. xD

AWritersFantasy- 08-22-2007

Yes, yes you should. I demand it.

MoquanMercenary- 08-22-2007

Seconded. All in favor say aye. "Aye," they all said. All opposed? The room was silent. So, the motion passes, Ennui will watch the movies.

AWritersFantasy- 08-22-2007

Oh...but before you watch them, you should probably...hmm. Watching the original trilogy first will possibly confuse you...or maybe not. Technically you should watch the prequels first, and then the original trilogy because in terms of chronology, that's the order. So either: The Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones Revenge of the Sith A New Hope Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi OR... A New Hope Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi ...and then if you really like them you could watch the other three. The best of the prequels is Revenge of the Sith, but you'd probably need to watch the other two to really understand them. Attack of the Clones is the worst of the three by far, at least to me...especially for romance. Watching the original trilogy might be best, because they're the ones that "started it all," and you'll possibly/hopefully see why they're such great movies. Revenge of the Sith will help with that, too, but not as much as the original trilogy.

Woah, Danny, woah. She should watch the movies as they were made, with the three originals first. And TRY to find someone who really has the ORIGINALS. Not the new bulked up ones with all the bullshit added. And I agree, Revenge of the Sith is the best movie of the new ones...but, it's the best of a bad bunch. It was "Star Wars, technically Episode 6, the search to give George Lucas more money that God."

Kaleidascope- 08-22-2007

I have the original movies before they added everything. I have the new releases too. :-P I kinda like the extra scenes and stuff, especially the one where you really get to see the relationship between Jabba and Han.

Kaleidascope- 08-22-2007

I forgot... I would't be on any side. I'd be like Han before he got caught up in everything, I'd be doing my thing and making a huge profit off both sides. Yeah, I'm mean. :-P

Sheesh.

Shadow729- 08-22-2007

Touche, touche. I was trying to be funny...I suppose it's all in how it sounds in my/your head. And I'm personally a Lucas Basher. I hate what he did, especially that Greedo shoots first.

AWritersFantasy- 08-22-2007

The only thing I'm not really a huge fan of is Hayden being Anakin's ghost. I get that he was "reborn" in to the Force, but he should've done so as an old man, not a young one. Otherwise he looks kind of out of place between Yoda and Obi-Wan...or at least compared to Obi-Wan.

ennui- 08-23-2007

O_O;; well then. apparently we have the movies packed away somewhere, so hopefully I'll pop one in this weekend & see what all the buzz is about. I didn't really realize there were so many of them. O_o
