Fun poll: Star Wars- pick a side!
I'm going to do something fun, which is post "fun polls" and "serious polls." Serious polls will probably be board related, but "fun polls" will be like this one. So...which side is the best in Star Wars? Discuss! (And if you haven't watched Star Wars, be ready for all of its fans to start hounding you to do so. XD I'm pretty sure that most of the members here are fans.)

Hutts all the way.

Shadow729- 08-19-2007

The Sith, totally. I don't think I'd be able to be a Jedi, and I think that they talk a big game, but if love and feelings are things you shouldn't use, why get married? When Mara dies, if I were Luke, I wouldn't be able to handle that. And good beating evil is just SO stupid. Evil is more powerful, and if evil weren't so stupid by underestimating good, they would win always.

AWritersFantasy- 08-19-2007

O.O WHEN Mara dies? She's dying? NOOOOOOOO. X.X This is what I get for not continuing to read the NJO books...although from what I've read that's a good thing 'cause of Darth Jacen. >.>

Shadow729- 08-19-2007

Oooops. I didn't mean to spoil it for you. Sorry. It's part of the la-*test*-('") group of books, Legacy of the Force which is five years after the Dark Nest Trilogy which is 5 years after the last book in the New Jedi Order, The Unifying Force. I'm really sorry I ruined it...*hides in shame*

Shadow729- 08-19-2007

Oh, yeah, and, well, I'll just say that Jacen becoming Darth Caedus has something to do with her death... You should read it.

AWritersFantasy- 08-20-2007

X.X It's specifically because of Jacen turning to the dark side that I definitely do not want to read it any more. Once they killed Chewie off it was hard to keep my interest. I admit that I have been tempted to get back in to reading Star Wars again...but if I were to do so, it wouldn't be finishing the New Jedi Order books, at least not any time soon after I started reading it. I'd kind of like to read the books about the Old Republic Jedi and stuff so I can expand my knowledge more about that era.

What's your favorite book? I know there are lots of fabulous ones to choose from, so you can pick a series if you want. Mine's The Courtship of Princess Leia followed closely by the Jedi Academy Trilogy, the Young Jedi Knights, and the Thrawn Trilogy. I guess there are just too many great ones to pick ONE.

KazSmurf- 08-20-2007

*cough* I haven't the sligh-*test*-('") idea what you two are talking about, but, to get back to topic... The Sith are just so much better. The name sounds better, they look better, their lightsabers are better - they're just so much, for want of a better word, better! They can actually use the Force in a cool way - hello, hand-lightning? Yeah, I'd be evil, I'd be a Sith (and of course, being British helps :P )

ennui- 08-20-2007

I've never watched Star Wars. *waits to be stoned*

AWritersFantasy- 08-20-2007

-GASP!- WE HAS A TRAITOR IN OUR MIDST, PRECIOUSSSSSS..... -Starts throwing rocks that are actually really soft at ennui- :D

MoquanMercenary- 08-20-2007

*Force hurls Nerf™ stones*

Shadow729- 08-20-2007

*Gives her a pat on the back* It's ok, you should just say the Sith are better...because they are!

MoquanMercenary- 08-20-2007

They have cookies.

What's your favorite book? Courtship of Princess Leia and the Jedi Academy Trilogy books are definitely my favorites. I've reread them a number of times. >.> And now I'm wanting to drag my books out from the attic so that I can reread all the good parts that I used to mark. At first I'd fold the pages down (bad idea, I know) but then I got smart and put pieces of paper in them...although those tend to fall out.
